Established to provide financial support and guidance to the agricultural and rural sectors, the bank plays a pivotal role in implementing state and central government schemes aimed at rural development and financial inclusion.

Its operations encompass a wide range of banking services, including credit disbursement for agriculture, support for small-scale industries, and the management of cooperative credit societies. It offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional banking environment while understanding the complexities of the cooperative sector. Apprentices are exposed to various facets of banking, including agricultural finance, information technology, legal compliance, and general banking operations. This training period, governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961, is designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical industry requirements. Working at APCOB provides candidates with a robust foundation in financial services, enhancing their employability in both the public and private banking sectors. The institution’s reputation for stability and its commitment to professional development make it an ideal training ground for graduates looking to build a career in the financial services industry.
