Eligibility Criteria for Guest Faculty
Candidates applying for the Guest Faculty positions in the Department of Computer Science must satisfy either of the following eligibility conditions (A or B):
Option A:
- i) A Postgraduate Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned, relevant, or allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- ii) In addition to the Master’s degree, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC such as SLET/SET, or must have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission Regulations, 2009 or 2016.
Option B:
- The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university or institution with a ranking among the top 500 in the World University Ranking by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), The Times Higher Education (THE), or the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Age Limit & Relaxation
The engagement is governed by UGC guidelines. Superannuated teachers may also be considered for engagement as Guest Faculty subject to a maximum age limit of 70 years. Age relaxation rules apply as per standard government norms for reserved categories where applicable.

Salary & Pay Scale
The selected Guest Faculty members will receive an honorarium of Rs. 1,500/- per lecture, subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs. 50,000/- per month, in accordance with UGC guidelines No.F.25-1/2018(PS/MISC.) dated 28.01.2019. Income tax deductions (10% or 20% depending on PAN availability) will apply as per Finance and Accounts rules unless an official exemption certificate is submitted.
Selection Process
