Eligibility Criteria for Associate Engineer
Candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc (Engg.) degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation engineering. For specific roles, a Mechanical/Welding/NDT qualification with an ASNT Level-II Certificate (in RT/ UT/ MPT /LPT) is required, with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPI. The qualification must have been acquired within the prescribed minimum course duration.
For Grade III positions, a minimum of 9 years of post-qualification relevant experience is mandatory, with at least 5 years in Construction Management and Project execution in refinery/petrochemical/Cross Country Pipeline sectors. For Grade IV positions, a minimum of 13 years of post-qualification relevant experience is required, with at least 5 years in Construction Management and Project execution in refinery/petrochemical sectors. Experience in LNG Port, Offshore & Jetty Project sites is considered desirable.
Age Limit & Relaxation
The maximum age limit is 41 years for Associate Engineer Grade III positions and 45 years for Associate Engineer Grade IV positions, as of March 31, 2026. Age relaxations are applicable: 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), 5 years for SC/ST candidates, and 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates. Additional relaxations for PwD candidates combined with their category and for Ex-Servicemen will be as per prevailing government rules.
